THE SYLLABUS
The CAA set seven Theoretical Knowledge Examinations all of which must be passed before the final Flight Skills Test and all must be completed within eighteen months of passing the first ground exam.
The Theory Exams are:-
- Air Law and Operational Procedures
- Human Performance and Limitations
- Navigation and Radio Aids
- Meteorology
- Aircraft (General) and Principles of Flight
- Flight Performance and Planning
- Communications - PPL
The subjects and exams can be taken in any order but usually Air Law is done first.The length of each exam varies but there is a standard pass mark of 75%.
